I think they are great! Very quick to colour when you're in a hurry. When I look at this little image I'm reminded of a few of the lovely, lifelong friendships my daughters have made over the years. Playing as little ones in the garden and now those friendships have been ushered into the teenage years and beyond. Time flies I think, really!

I coloured this little image using my Copic pens, I have a limited amount of colours, I must try to remedy that soon. The flowers are from Prima and the rubon is Melissa Frances. The little butterflies are made using a Fiskars punch which I think was a freebie too! The scalloped edge was made using a Martha Stewart punch and the little pin was from Viola Mahrs Etsy shop.
I am now approaching the end of my annual summer break from work and the "back to work" feelings are growing very strong. I have had a lovely break though, enjoying a week away in the west of Ireland, followed by a lazy week at home. So, to cheer myself up a bit I decided to go a bit crafty. This little card has been made using mostly freebies I've picked up from magazines lately. The papers are courtesy of Homemade magazine and the little stamped image is by Lily of the Valley, a little colour stack which came free in Papercraft Inspirations. So, its simple and understated in my favourite colours of late red and blue. The embellishments are from my stash a few buttons and lace from Melissa Frances and the little hatpin is from Viola Mahr.
The sun is out and has been for a few days now, so the spirit is lifted and the mood is good! I have been spending more and more time in my little crafting world. I just love to escape from the hum drum of the daily journey and fill myself up with some quality me time. Life is good just now. I find my workload is manageable, my husband and daughters are in good health and humour. I'm so thankful for that.

This little card had been made using another image purchased from Iralamija's Etsy shop. Its from a collection of Vintage girls. The blue paper is from my own stock and the musical manuscript was a freebie Internet download. The flower is from Prima and the rubons are from my most favourite designer, Melissa Frances. The little wings are from Ebay. The button is from Melissa Frances and the tea stained trim is from Melissa Phillips Etsy shop, though I purchased this a while ago now. The scrap of lace is from my own stock.
I follow many card makers but the ones who appeal to me the most are those whose work reminds me of times gone by. Simpler times. When life appeared easier with less distractions. I find myself yearning for moments like these, when the hassles of the day disappear and the simplicity of card, paper, ribbon and ink take over allowing me to loose myself in this lovely creative world.

The sun shining in the window and the sounds of neighbours tidying up their gardens in preparation for warmer days to come. Hmmmm, a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, listening to life pass along, tucked away in my little craft room, my haven if you will. Good for the soul.

Little shabby card, I like this style it really reflects my style and personality. A bit old fashioned, traditional if you will, interesting and full of charm..... well some of my personality anyway! I used some Melissa Frances papers for this wee project. I really love Melissas' products but unfortunately they're not so readily available here in Northern Ireland so I have to purchase online. The papers are Rhonda and Tori as is the chipboard frame, the twill tape was purchased from Mellisa Phillips etsy shop. The shabby rose is from Prima, I just adore these roses, they are just beautiful! The stamp is from the Birdsong collection from Papermania.
I have recently purchased these new papers from Pink Petticoat its from their Autumn Blossoms range of papers, just love them!! So, this was a great opportunity to give them a wee run out. I also used on of the Lola range of digi stamps also from Pink Petticoat. I coloured with some Copics and finished with some nice Prima flowers and gems, and my all time favourite Stickles glue. I just love the autumnal colours, really pretty.

Thanks
Once its switched over I disappear into my little craft room where I can enter a wee world of my own, my time. Created this using some papers from Laura Ashley and some from stash. I stamped one of my Gorjuss Girls and coloured using Copics. I cut and mounted this using Nestabilities Labels 2. I cut and layered a couple of Martha Stewart borders. I finished with a Prima flower, Making Memories brad and some pearls from Pima, oh and off course some Stickles, love it !!! Quite please with this one, nice colours and put together well, worked out ok :)
Began with pale pink cardstock, then attached some scalloped edging cut from a Papermaina scalloped card, I then attached a little notelet from Primas Fairy Flora range, they just arrived this morning in the post and I got sooo excited, they are just lovely, so shabby! I then attached a few twigs and added some Prima flowers and flower centres, I stamped a vintage oval using Papermanias Chatsworth range of stamps and added a sentiment from my stash. I finished with some scrunched seam binding from Memrie Mare and a little button from stash and added a little Stickles glue in Waterfall to the twigs. I also distressed the edges with some Tim Holtz, Tattered Rose ink. I really like this one, I enjoy this style of cardmaking, reflects my personality well .
I've been having a bit of a tough time recently so my cardmaking has been on the back burner for a while, just don't seem to have the heart these days. I still check on other creators blogs and admire the work of many, I enjoy that at least. Humble little card, nothing fancy or over the top, just a bit shabby and girlie, I like its simplicity.
This is a little card made using the freebie papers received with Papercraft Inspirations I think, have used these so much lately but I just adore the colours and the are very springlike, lovely! The are from the Pretty Please collection by My Minds Eye. The little stamp is of course from the lovely, beautiful Gorjuss Girl range of stamps, she is way too cute! Would love a few more of these guys so me thinks I need some retail therapy. Mmmmm! The flowers are from Prima, made all sparkley with Stickles glue and the brad was from my stash. Anyhoo, was happy with the colouring here, not too bad for a learner I think anyway. The thing is though these Copics are addictive, I'm already choosing my colours for this months purchase, its a pity I have to wait til the end of the month for them!!!!
I do love them dearly :) I gave the photo a vintage look using Photoscape, the background pattern is from Pink Petticoats' Elegant Swirls I think, the ribbon is from stash, the buttons were part of a lovely parcel I purchased from Melissa Philips through Etsy as was the string, the little angel wings I bought from someone on E Bay, I gave them a little spakle using Stickles glue, the stamped frame was done using a stamp from Papermanias Signature range, the flower is from Prima and the punch used is from Cara Craft.
Little flowers are from Prima as are the flower centres, glitter is Stickles and the border was punched using my Martha Stewart punch, distressed up a bit with Tim Holtz, tattered rose ink. The "Happy Easter" stamp is from Papermania and was head embossed using silver embossing powder from the Heat it up range. The little box is made using a template from Lauren Meader and her My Time Made Easy collection.

Have'nt been on here in ages, had a bit of a break from crafting this last while back, just lost the taste for it I think but I'm feeling good that my interest has picked up again, we all need a distraction I think and this is a really healthy one!!! Couple of springlike cards made using materials that came free with one magazine or another, the papers and little embellishments and sentiment came with Cardmaking Made Easy. I love the colours here the pinks and greens mixed with a little yellow and white are refreshing after the dark days of winter! They are produced by My Minds Eye from their Pretty Please collection. Cute. The little mice came as part of a Beatrix Potter collection free with Papercraft Inspirations I think, I like these as they go nicely with the vintage/shabby style i've fallen into. Embossed flower is from Cuttlebug and the little gems are from Prima, distressed up a bit with Tim Holtz, Tattered Rose ink, which I use on nearly all my cards. I love it. Anyhoo, hope to show a few more bits and pieces soon, its lovely to see the great creations of those I follow on blogger, inspirational!

just thought i'd share a little picture of my two daughters taken recently when we attended a cousins wedding. It's not very often I get a chance to picture them together these days, what can I say, I am parenting two teenagers! I like this one though and am amazed at how alike they've grown...... despite having totally different personalities.
Hands up, I'm guilty! The ironing basket sits here in my little craft room and it is haunting me, I have to get it done. :( But, priorities first, this is a little vintage Christmas card I made with a few scraps laying about on my table and my new Papermania Signature Collection stamp which I just adore, I love all things shabby at the moment and would love to polish up my shabby skills if that's not a contradiction!!!! The red patterned paper is from Pink Petticoat, a scrap left over from a card I made last night. I mounted it up on some cream cardstock which I have really come to love recently and cut a little border using my Martha Stewart doilie lace punch (love it). The punch detail in the corner was made using my Carla Craft corner punch. The little greeting stamp came free with the latest edition of Papercraft Inspirations, finished off with a little sparkly gem, oh, and the ink is Tim Holtz, Tattered Rose. So off to tackle the dreaded ironing but I'll supplement it with a little crafty break later on!!

regards

anne :)
Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10235063417233657019noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3907911898143973112.post-90025152691597639522009-10-20T23:21:00.005+01:002009-10-20T23:42:59.583+01:00first of the season.

Hi all,

Up a little later tonight waiting for my daughter to return from a concert, she's gone to Belfast to see Greenday, so, I'm crafting a little to pass the time. First of the season here for me, haven't even thought of making any Christmas cards yet but I have to admit I have enjoyed looking at other blogs and lots of ladies have been super organised and have been posting for ages though when I had a little peek at Pink Petticoat's new Fairy Lights collection I was excited to say the least! I am a bit of a fan of the Petticoat and just think this collection is really beautiful. I love that it is so versatile and can be used for contemporary cards and well as traditional, the selection allows that. So this little number was made using the "Christmas Flowers" design along with the "crimson wallpaper", love this design can be used for so much more!! Printed the little Christmas Tree for buttons, instead I used little heart gems from Papermania, I punched some circles from some crimson paper I had spare and mounted up some spotty buttons also from Papermania. Finished off with a touch of Stickles glue and voila!!! I like it, cheery! Hope Catherine isn't much longer I'm feeling sooooo tired tonight!

P.S. Apologies for the pic, bit too close to the top, but this is attempt number four and I'm way to tired to care!!

Regards

anne :)
Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10235063417233657019noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3907911898143973112.post-27466642069792368302009-10-15T19:26:00.005+01:002009-10-15T19:39:11.979+01:00catherine and maeve x

Just a couple of pics of my daughter catherine dressed up for her recent school formal, she went with her best friend James, so handsome!we are so proud of her, she looked so beautiful. I haven't been crafting for a while, I think I've lost my creative motivation but forced myself to get something made last night and I'm glad I did. I left it on the kitchen table overnight to dry and when I came in this morning for breakfast and seen it, it made me smile! The image is of course one of the beautiful Gorjuss Girls, the only one I own at present, ahem!! The card is from stash, blue and cream, I distressed the edges with some Tim Holtz, Tattered Rose. The border is cut using my treasured doilie edge punch from Martha Stewart, I embellished this with some Stickles glue. The little pearls came from my daughters corsage which was presented to her by her date for her school formal last week, nothing goes to waste in this house!!! I wrapped it in a little blue ribbon from Laura Ashley and mounted it up a little Laura Ashley floral chipboard square. I coloured the image using my Faber Castell pencils and added a little more Stickles glue for detail. The rubon is from Crate and the little floral stamp is from Hampton Art. I feel excited about this card, think it has kick started some creative thoughts and feelings. :)
Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10235063417233657019noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3907911898143973112.post-3523728577647279992009-10-03T20:06:00.002+01:002009-10-03T20:09:59.136+01:00Latest Purchase!!!!

Love it, love it, love it!!! Same set up as below, except printed with Pink Petticoat Little Swirls in Duck Egg Blue. Punched a couple of holes and added some silver eyelets, a little ribbon from stash and voila! A little handle, added a little Laura Ashley tag with some fibre from the same. It's just crying out for a little button and flower on the front, but I had nothing I was happy with to suit, I feel a shopping expedition coming on I think!!!

Regards

anne :)
Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10235063417233657019noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3907911898143973112.post-75907319757401588032009-09-06T18:34:00.003+01:002009-09-06T18:47:04.198+01:00Gift Box

Little gift box made using a template downloaded from Papertrey Ink it was designed by Laura Meaden and is the smallest in the selection, thought I would be best starting small as it was my first attempt. Printed up some card using Pink Damask from Pink Petticoat, I then put the card through the printer again and printed the template on the other side. Cut and folded as instructed and added a little detail using some paper flowers from Prima and a brad from Laura Ashley, also a little freebie sentiment on the front cute!

Regards
anne :)
Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10235063417233657019noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3907911898143973112.post-31001563283215751192009-09-06T17:15:00.004+01:002009-09-06T17:34:34.039+01:00Wedding Wishes.

I decided to be a bit more organised and get a head start on a wedding card that I needed to make for my husband's cousin Karen who is getting married on September 25th. My husband Gary, my daughters Catherine, Maeve and myself are all invited and really looking forward to it. So, thought I'd better make a wee card now instead of the day before, which is what I usually end up doing, lol! I have used Pink Petticoat's "Old Fashioned Girl" range which I think is truly lovely, though I have'nt used it in a while. The card blank was printed using Pink Damask and I then mounted up some card printed using Cream Flourishes. I then tore some card which was printed using Words of Love, all from the same collection. I then used up a scrap of Pink Damask and punched a little border and mounted up a little sentiment. I then threaded some velvet ribbon through and attached using some glue dots. Some little crystal hearts from my stash finished off, I like it, simple yet tasteful and lovely colour combination.

Regards

anne :)
Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10235063417233657019noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3907911898143973112.post-57008191988911530542009-08-31T21:49:00.007+01:002009-09-01T09:46:56.501+01:00Sprinkles!

This little card was created using a stamp I bought from Pink Gem Designs her name is Fairy Sprinkles. This is the second Sprinkles I've purchased, I think she's a sweetie. I used some scrap paper left over, its from Daisy Bucket I think and then mounted up some lilac card which I ran through the cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder. I then mounted up Sprinkles, which I coloured with my Faber Castell pencils with some foam pads. Added a little sticky border which came free with Papercraft Inspirations and added a little "thank you" sticker to match, finished with a little butterfly sticker and some Stickles glue. Nice.

Regards

Anne :)
Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10235063417233657019noreply@blogger.com1
