Friends for Ever!

These pretty little Lily of the Valley images came free with my copy of Papercraft Inspirations.  I think they are great!  Very quick to colour when you're in a hurry. When I look at this little image I'm reminded of a few of the lovely, lifelong friendships my daughters have made over the years.  Playing as little ones in the garden and now those friendships have been ushered into the teenage years and beyond.  Time flies I think, really!

I coloured this little image using my Copic pens, I have a limited amount of colours, I must try to remedy that soon. The flowers are from Prima and the rubon is Melissa Frances.  The little butterflies are made using a Fiskars punch which I think was a freebie too!  The scalloped edge was made using a Martha Stewart punch and the little pin was from Viola Mahrs Etsy shop.

Swing time

It has been a wonderful, summer weekend here in Ireland, long overdue I think!  I am now approaching the end of my annual summer break from work and the "back to work" feelings are growing very strong.  I have had a lovely break though, enjoying a week away in the west of Ireland, followed by a lazy week at home.  So, to cheer myself up  a bit  I decided to go a bit crafty.  This little card has been made using mostly freebies I've picked up from magazines lately.  The papers are courtesy of Homemade magazine and the little stamped image is by Lily of the Valley, a little colour stack which came free in Papercraft Inspirations.  So, its simple and understated in my favourite colours of late red and blue.   The embellishments are from my stash a few buttons and lace from Melissa Frances and the little hatpin is from Viola Mahr.

Sweet Girl.

Such a wonderful Saturday here in Ireland.  The sun is out and has been for a few days now, so the spirit is lifted and the mood is good!  I have been spending more and more time in my little crafting world.  I just love to escape from the hum drum of the daily journey and fill myself up with some quality me time.  Life is good just now.  I find my workload is manageable, my husband and daughters are in good health and humour.  I'm so thankful for that.

This little card had been made using another image purchased from Iralamija's Etsy shop.  Its from a collection of Vintage girls.  The blue paper is from my own stock and the musical manuscript was a freebie Internet download.  The flower is from Prima and the rubons are from my most favourite designer, Melissa Frances.  The little wings are from Ebay.  The button is from Melissa Frances and the tea stained trim is from Melissa Phillips Etsy shop, though I purchased this a while ago now.  The scrap of lace is from my own stock.

Hope the weather is nice where you are!

All things vintage.

I just adore all things vintage, shabby and old.  I follow many card makers but the ones who appeal to me the most are those whose work reminds me of times gone by.  Simpler times.  When life appeared easier with less distractions.  I find myself yearning for moments like these, when the hassles of the day disappear and the simplicity of card, paper, ribbon and ink take over allowing me to loose myself in this lovely creative world.

The sun shining in the window and the sounds of neighbours tidying up their gardens in preparation for warmer days to come.  Hmmmm, a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, listening to life pass along, tucked away in my little craft room, my haven if you will.  Good for the soul.

This little card was created using a vintage download from Iralamija's Etsy shop.  The patterned paper is from Papermania's Honey and Hugs collection, this came free with Papercraft Inspirations magazine.  The raspberry paper is from my own stock.  The chipboard swirl is from Bazzill Chips which I painted blue.  The flower is from Prima and the little blue wings are from Ebay.  The stamps are from Papermania Birdsong.  The lace is from my own stock.

Hope life is simple for you at the moment.

Sending you Smiles :)

First post in a while, but sure here goes anyway!!

Little shabby card, I like this style it really reflects my style and personality.  A bit old fashioned, traditional if you will, interesting and full of charm..... well some of my personality anyway!  I used some Melissa Frances papers for this wee project.  I really love Melissas' products but unfortunately they're not so readily available here in Northern Ireland so I have to purchase online.  The papers are Rhonda and Tori as is the chipboard frame, the twill tape was purchased from Mellisa Phillips etsy shop.  The shabby rose is from Prima, I just adore these roses, they are just beautiful!  The stamp is from the Birdsong collection from Papermania.

This nice shabby style makes me happy :)

For a friend.......

I created this little number for my daughter Maeve to give to her school chum, it's her birthday party tomorrow evening.  I have recently purchased these new papers from Pink Petticoat its from their Autumn Blossoms range of papers, just love them!! So, this was a great opportunity to give them a wee run out.  I also used on of the Lola range of digi stamps also from Pink Petticoat.  I coloured with some Copics and finished with some nice Prima flowers and gems, and my all time favourite Stickles glue.  I just love the autumnal colours, really pretty.

Thanks

What I made while the football was on !!!

Just a little card I made while the footie was on.  Once its switched over I disappear into my little craft room where I can enter a wee world of my own, my time.  Created this using some papers from Laura Ashley and some from stash.  I stamped one of my Gorjuss Girls and coloured using Copics.  I cut and mounted this using Nestabilities Labels 2. I cut and layered a couple of  Martha Stewart borders.  I finished with a Prima flower,  Making Memories brad and some pearls from Pima, oh and off course some Stickles, love it !!!  Quite please with this one, nice colours and put together well, worked out ok :)
