First in a while!

Hi all, I haven't added a lot here for a few weeks, I lost my focus for a while, what with work and decisions and challenges, you know, all that grown up stuff us crafters don't really like to think about!! Well, I forced myself to sit down and try to come up with a little creativity, to help keep me sane if it's nothing else. Managed to get this little stamp on E Bay, however, it is one of Janet Roberts designs over at http://pinkgemdesigns.blogspot.com/. I thought it was so sweet, it reminds me of my daughters', who are both angels, and there is a little rebellion in their personality!

Blog Award!

I am so excited to receive my first ever blog award and its thanks to Carol over at http://craftycrofty.blogspot.com/ and Julie over at http://juliescraftspace.blogspot.com/ they are ever so kind. Its been a difficult day for me today at work, so when I logged on to cheer myself up a bit this was waiting for me! Thanks Carol and Julie that's worked a treat! PP Birthday!

I am a big fan of Pink Petticoat and just adore the papers in the Sweet Sundae's range. I just love the colours here, they remind me that spring is just around the corner, I hope!! The stamped image is little Lilli with a basket of flowers. The colours are so gentle and very girlie, just what I love !!

Penny Black Birthday

I really love the weekends as with everyone being off work there are so many more new creations appearing across all the blogs I'm following, its wonderful! I have so many little scraps of paper and cut-off's of card that I have decided to add what I can to some cards. This cute little guy is from Penny Black, I just think these little hedgehogs are so adoreable! I've really been trying to improve my colouring, I don't think I've done too badly here!

Something different.

Was clicking on my computer and came across this backing paper from one of my Pink Petticoat downloads. I like the pattern and colour, but boy I struggled to come up with something to go with it. I created a topper using some brown corrugated cards from my stash. I came across a scrap of spotty paper also from Pink Petticoat, "Just an old fashioned girl", so I cut a circle from it, punched a couple of holes and threaded some ribbon through and made a bow. I mounted this onto black card which I distressed around the edges with a nail file. I attached a stripe of gold card from my stash and attached the whole topper to it. I then used a sentiment from Crate Paper on some brown card and finished off with a little sparkly heart from my stash. Simple but a struggle too!

Sugar Nellie

This little girl is called Lola and she loves to gather flowers, what a lovely way to spend a day, I'd be up for that! I have really enjoyed stamping this week and using my Whispers markers to colour. Great!
