Thank you!

I am quite please with how this turned out. I purchased these plain papers and swirl designs from Pink Petticoat. I like the colours here, the papers are "duck egg blue", and the brown ribbon I believe, came from a box of chocolates! How`s that for recycling! The little blue butterfly is from a magazine freebie. Finished off with a little "thank you" stamp. Lovely!!

Pink Petticoat Image

I just love how this card has turned out. I recently purchased these images from Pink Petticoat and could`nt wait to get using them! This lady I just love, the sentiment says "too much of a good thing can be wonderful". Love it! Used some scraps I had lying about, thought the blue and the lime green complimented the pink and brown in the pic well, used a little green ribbon to embellish along with a little flower just to add that girlie touch attched with a plain lime green brad. One of many I fear, I just love these pics so you will be seeing them again in the not too distant future!

True Beauty.

This was inspired by pictures I took of my children at Christmas. We all love to scrap our offspring and I think my daughters deserve it as they both look so beautiful in these pics. I like my scrapped pages to mean something special, and when I looked at these pictures I realised their true beauty. Yes, they are lovely on the outside, but they have developed so much inner beauty that makes them who they are. Unique. I hope the trials and responsibilities of life does`nt squeeze the beauty from their hearts so I left them this little reminder of the importance of protecting the real identity. So, the title of this page is "True Beauty". I had some paper in my stash for ages, Daisy Bucket, the colours complimented their dresses beautifully. I did`nt want to over embelish the page as I want the pictures and the journaling to be the main attraction. I added some floral decs along with my favourite stickles glue, I love it!

Bah Humbug!

Well that's it, the season of love and goodwill has officially ended in the Gordon household. The decs are taken down and safely stored away for another year and now the house looks so bare! That said, I'm really glad to see the back of them this year. Feel refreshed at the prospect of the coming new year and wondering what it will bring for the family Gordon. Hopefully all good, no surprises please! I know we all make new years resolutions but I will be the frst to admit that I'm not so good at keeping them so I'll just take it a day at a time and see how we go. Short term goals to keep me motivated! I'm not going to list any resolutions here, I do enjoy some degree of privacy you know! Enjoyed Christmas but we are all faced with the most depressing month of the year January! The anti-climax of Christmas coupled with the depression of a lacking bank balance to boot! Ok can't end this on a negative so I'd better reflect on what I'm thankful for this year. My family, we are a tight little group. We keep each other lively and my daughters keep me feeling young. My quality of life, I'm healthy and enjoy a very comfortable lifestyle. Those who I come in contact with, I try to see the good in everyones' hearts. The twats, they make me smile! Life is good, long may it last!

Hubbys' Christmas Card

This was a very last minute card I made for my husband. I love the red, black and white together, the snowflake was donated by my daughter, was attached to a pair of fancy pyjamas which she received last Christmas as a gift, its felt. I added some silver stickles glue and a little merry christmas motif, along with a black gem. The writing is by my own fair hand, I don`t normally do this, I usually use the computer but I was in a hurry, added some more stickles for a Christmassy feel, but not too much as to make it too feminine. I like it and my husband was delighted with the finished article!

Girlie Bling!

This little card was made so quickly, but I think it`s very effective and typically girlie! Pain white card blank, overlaid with some pink paper from Laura Ashley. The little cocktail dress was from a kit very kindly given to me by my sister in law for Christmas, added a sticky ribbon also from Laura Ashley, some little flowers blinged up with some Stickles glue and a little "for you" greeting. This will be snapped up soon as my daughters are always looking for cards for thier school friends!
